Raise your hand if you’ve ever googled “How to lose weight in your stomach” or “What are the best workouts for losing weight in your thighs?” It’s me… my hand is raised. And no, I’m not proud. I would spend hours on the treadmill or elliptical thinking if I burned enough calories it would eventually give me the results I was looking for. You know what results this left me with, though? Resenting anything that has to do with running. I hated treadmills then and I still hate treadmills now. The best workout you can give your body is one you enjoy and look forward to, not one that’s going to give you the most calories burned or give you results in certain areas. … and not to be the bearer of bad news, but you can’t spot reduce fat, either. When you love moving your body and look forward to your workouts every single day, you’re going to start loving your body and have the desire to treat it well every single day.
