Cam Angwin (Kenneth) is from South Burlington, Vermont, graduated from Skidmore College in 2023, and moved to Mammoth shortly thereafter to time ski races. He loves to make his trivia team wager all their points on the final question even though Maurice strongly advises against that strategy. With “a face made for radio”, Cam has hosted a few radio talk shows but has not been on stage since 2019 in a class production of The Very Hungry Caterpillar. He was the pickle.

Sarah Brown (Francine/Lena) is thrilled to be making her acting debut in Clybourne Park. Originally from Detroit, she enjoys dancing and exploring flow arts, always finding joy in creative expression. After moving to Bishop in 2024, she’s loved exploring the vibrant community and soaking up the outdoors. In her free time, Sarah can be found dancing, bouldering, or spending time with friends. She’s grateful for the chance to grow as a performer and share this experience with such a wonderful cast and crew

Ronnell Hill (Albert/Kevin) was born in N Carolina and grew up in Las Vegas. As a young adult he started acting in short films and commercials. After moving to Mammoth he dove into local theatre with his first play 2023 Shakespeare Festival’s Measure For Measure playing several roles. And recently Romeo and Juliet as Chief Prince. Other performances include Murder Mystery Bloody Day at Brawley and Neil Simon’s Plaza Suite. He is extremely honored and beyond excited to be in Clybourne Park. Ronnell would like to thank Shira and his cast mates for helping recreate a masterpiece. And everyone else supporting the arts in our small mountain town.

Michael Neal Johnson (Karl /Steve) is delighted to return to the Mammoth Lakes stage for Clybourne Park. Based in LA, he has been thrilled to take a break from film work to flex his Theatre muscles. Recent credits include Mammoth Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream, and productions like Purgatory, Sign in the Six O’Clock Sky, and Agency: A Play in One Act which won a NYIT award. Michael studied acting at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (2015). Michael would like to thank his family, his partner Devony for all her support, and all those supporting the arts.

Kenneth Aedwyrd Needham (Jim/Tom) is grateful to feel welcome in the vibrant Eastern Sierra arts community. He was Professor Laurence in Romeo and Juliet and Frankenstein’s Creature for Snowbunny Burlesque. He showcases art at the MAC Gallery and sings with the Eastern Sierra Community Chorus. A San Diego native, was a founding member, drummer, dancer and singer for the Super Sonic Samba School, percussionist and singer for 9Wind & I.M.H.O. Other favorite roles include Carnival!, The Laramie Project, Twilight Zone, New Vocables, and Technomania Circus.

Marlene Piper (Bev/Kathy) has enjoyed many years participating in local theater. She was last seen as Mistress Page in Merry Wives of Windsor last summer. Nothing will ever beat that purple wig, however, She will try to rock this one just as well as the character Bev. She sends a big thank you to everyone who is coming out to watch, we wouldn’t be here without your support!

Gretchen Seibert (Betsy/Lindsey) was born in Columbus, Indiana, but after graduating college with a degree in Forestry, moved West over 20 years ago. She spends as much time as she can outdoors with her husband, her amazing 13 year old son and her dog. On the Mammoth stages, she has performed in The Marvelous Wonderettes Dream On, Good People, Sprung To Die, The Minutes, Merry Wives of Windsor, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. She is grateful to her family for their support and excited to be back on stage again working with such a talented cast.

Clay Tyson (Russ/Dan) first appeared on MLRT’s stage in the 2012 production of Dial M for Murder. Since then he has appeared in many productions here in Mammoth, notably Plaza Suite, Good People and Clue. Woodturning and climbing consume much of the rest of his time as the owner of Ground Up Climbing Guides and Roots Up Woodturning. Clay dedicates his performance as Russ to his late father, Jim Tyson, whose character and spirit deeply inspired this portrayal.
Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Clybourne Park was written in response to Lorraine Hansberry’s A Raisin in the Sun. Playwright Bruce Norris set up Clybourne Park as a pair of scenes that bookend Hansberry’s piece. These two scenes, fifty years apart, are both set in the same modest bungalow on Chicago’s northwest side that features at the center of A Raisin in the Sun. The first scene takes place before and the second scene takes place after the events of A Raisin in the Sun.
In 1959, Russ and Bev are moving out to the suburbs after the tragic death of their son. Inadvertently, they sold their house to the neighborhood’s first black family. Fifty years later in 2009, the roles are reversed when a young white couple buys the lot in what is now a predominantly black neighborhood, signaling a new wave of gentrification. In both instances, a community showdown takes place, pitting race against real estate with this home as the battleground.
