SOCIAL SPOTLIGHT, ENDURANCE SEASON IS HERE!
September is the start of Endurance Season in Mammoth Lakes. Local and visiting athletes are ready to push their limits in events that explore our high-altitude terrain and climate, hoping for a chance to be dubbed king or queen of the mountains for a day. Many of these events require road closures near The Village to enhance the events’ safety. First up this weekend is the Mammoth Gran Fondo, which takes place Saturday, September 12. Please note that Canyon Blvd. between Lake Mary Road and Hillside Drive will be closed from 5:00am to 8:00pm that day. Additionally, between 8:00-9:30am, vehicles will be restricted from accessing the Scenic Loop entering from Minaret Road and US HWY 395 to allow riders from the Piccolo and Media to safely use the roadway. During this timeframe, the bus stops in The Village on Canyon Blvd. will also be inaccessible, which will impact several public transit routes. For a list of all closures, as well as bus stop alternatives, visit the Mammoth Gran Fondo website [https://mammothgranfondo.com/

TOWN SLURRY PROJECT UPDATE
Issues with materials have been resolved and the project is back on track with a revised schedule! Slurry work will be completed on weekdays, beginning Friday, September 18 through Wednesday, September 24, according to the colors shown in the locations on the map. No work will take place over the weekend to avoid conflicts with the Mammoth TUFF event. Restriping of the roads will take place once slurry work is completed. The work is weather dependent, but the forecast currently looks favorable for this timeframe. Thank you for your patience with the delay – review the impacted streets here [https://www.facebook.com/
