Our team will be available Monday, March 2 through Thursday, March 5, and will close at the end of business on Thursday.
This assistance is available to businesses and private nonprofit organizations impacted by the winter storm in Mono County, as well as eligible contiguous counties, including Inyo, Alpine, Fresno, and Nevada. Businesses located in these contiguous counties may also qualify to apply for Economic Injury Disaster Loans. [UPDATE: For accuracy, this declaration includes the following counties in the State of Nevada: Douglas, Esmeralda, Lyon, and Mineral. And not Nevada County, California.]
Loans are available up to $2 million, with fixed interest rates currently around 4% for businesses and approximately 3.65% for nonprofits, with terms of up to 30 years.
There is no cost to apply and no obligation to accept a loan. Filing an application simply preserves options. Even a temporary disruption of one or two weeks can significantly impact a small business’s annual cash flow or operating margins, these loans are designed to help bridge that gap.
While the application deadline extends into November 2026, our in-person services in Lee Vining will only be available through March 5. We understand that recent winter weather conditions have made travel difficult for many business owners, so we want to ensure the community is aware that we are here now to provide hands-on assistance with navigating the application process and answering questions.
