2025 Non-Profit of the Year Nominations Are Open

non-profit

I am pleased to announce that my office is accepting nominations for the 2025 Non-Profit of the Year Award. Each State Senator selects non-profits from their district who demonstrate unwavering dedication to improving their community and recognizes them on a state level for their exceptional service. I will honor one awardee on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 Capitol luncheon in Sacramento. In addition, I will also honor non-profit organizations in their local community with honorary recognitions.

This year, I’m seeking nominations to honor non-profits addressing pressing community issues, with a focus on public safety. If you know of a non-profit leading impactful work in your local community to enhance public safety, prevent crime, support first responders, or promote community resilience, and believe they deserve to be nominated, please note the requirements below.

Nomination Requirements

  • Must hold a current non-profit tax exempt status with services that address public safety, prevent crime, support first responders, or promote community resilience
  • Must be located in Senate District 4 (See California Senate District 4 map → HERE)
  • A Letter of Recommendation from a local elected official answering the following question: How has this nominee influenced public safety in your community?
  • Complete nomination form online → HERE.

Nomination Deadline

  • Thursday, April 10th, 2025 by 5 PM

Your nomination plays a crucial role in recognizing the outstanding achievements of District 4 non-profits and ensuring that their exceptional contributions to our community receive the deserved attention.

Sincerely,

Marie Alvarado-Gil
California State Senator, 4th District
