Since 1979, the Wild Wild West Marathon and Ultra has brought trail runners to the remarkable landscapes of Lone Pine, California. Against the backdrop of the Alabama Hills and the Sierra Nevada, this race offers a challenging and rewarding adventure, with distances ranging from a 10‑mile trail run to a 50‑mile ultra. Its rich heritage, inspiring terrain, and welcoming atmosphere make it an unforgettable experience for first‑timers and seasoned ultrarunners alike. Ready for the Challenge?
Each race starts at around 5,000 ft elevation and climbs to approximately 6,600 ft before descending into the Alabama Hills and Lone Pine. Runners can expect aid stations every 3–5 miles, full support from volunteers, drop‑bag service, and a post‑race celebration
