The Bronco Tennis Team Hosted Burroughs, Sept. 3rd
The girls tennis team hosted Burroughs high school on Fri, Sept. 3rd
Final score Bishop 4 Burroughs 14
Bishop was able to win 4 sets against Burroughs, which was an improvement
from the day before when they were defeated by Golden Valley
The 4 points were split with 2 wins on the doubles side and 2 on the singles.
Juniors; Darby Swanson and Olivia Ellis, won both points by defeating
Burroughs #1 doubles team 6-3 and the #3 doubles team 6-3.
“Darby and Olivia are new to the team this year but picked up the game
quickly. Both are aggressive at net and quick on the court”, said Cummings
Senior; Jacee Carpenter, picked up 1 point on the singles side beating
her opponent 6-0.
Ximena Cervantes-Mendez also won a set
6-2.
