Local Eats: School Lunch Specials in Bishop
As the school year kicks into high gear, high school students are not just juggling homework and extracurriculars—they’re also on the lookout for ways to stretch their limited budgets.
Fortunately, there are local eateries who are stepping up to the plate and offering tasty discounts that make dining out more affordable for the younger crowd.
We decided to call our local spots and find out exactly which ones are giving the local high schoolers a discount!

- 10% off for all locals
- half order of nachos (not on the menu): under $10
- Any of the following with fries and drink for $10: burger, hot dog, corn dog, chicken strips, grilled cheese
- You can also do a basket of fries and a drink for $5
Bronco’s Deli
- Student special combo with fries and drink: $10
- Pizza slice and a 22 oz drink: $3.99
- Hot dog/corn dog with a drink: $4.99
- Student special: half sandwich, bag of chips, and canned soda for $7.50
- Anyone can get the student special
- If a high schooler comes in on lunch and they order anything at regular price, they can get a fountain drink for free
- Sandwiches for $2.85: ham, turkey, roast, beef, pastrami
- Bag of chips: $1.00
- Can of soda: $1.00
- This special is for anyone
- $5 day-old pies
- If you have a Dance Team card, you can get a discount
- Sunday-Thursday 10% off any meals from 12pm – 5pm
