Blending history with futuristic elements, 65 makes for an original theater-going experience not seen in Sci-Fi movies in a very long time.

After a catastrophic crash on an unknown planet, pilot Mills quickly discovers he’s actually stranded on Earth — 65 million years ago. Now, with only one chance at a rescue, Mills and the only other survivor, Koa, must make their way across an unknown terrain riddled with dangerous prehistoric creatures.

Feeling less like a Jurassic Park spin-off and more of a nod to classic sci-fi horror movies, such as Aliens, a lot of the scares and horror comes from what you don’t see.

Adam Driver leads this thriller, and his military background especially shows in this particular character which, unlike most of his other performances, adds a layer of realism. His chemistry with co-star Ariana Greenblatt shows throughout the story, making you want to see our two heroes make it to the end.

65 is the sci-fi film 2023 needed to kickstart the action genre as spring and summer approaches.

65 is rated PG-13 for Intense Sci-Fi Action and Brief Bloody Images.
