Join us at the Mammoth Outdoor Ice Rink for a FREE Skate Night on February 3, catch the new show at the Edison Theatre “Plaza Suite” beginning February 9, or glide along miles of groomed Nordic trails. Community Recreation Center (CRC) Update

Crews continue to build out the interior Sprung components and operating amenities. Work continued on the mechanical and Zamboni rooms, installation of the HVAC system, lighting and fire suppression system. The Town appreciates the community’s understanding and patience as we work towards enhancing our community recreation amenities. Look for the weekly #crcupdates on the Town’s Facebook page. On December 7, 2022, the Town of Mammoth Lakes, Mammoth Lakes Tourism (MLT), and Mammoth Lakes Recreation (MLR) launched an historic new, community-driven partnership with National Hockey League (NHL) franchise, the LA Kings. As part of the expansive, multiyear partnership, brokered by AEG Global Partnerships, the partners have teamed up to launch LA Kings Ice at Mammoth Lakes – the Town’s first indoor Olympic-sized ice rink. Plaza Suite Opens at the Edison Theatre February 9

Hilarity abounds in this portrait of three couples successively occupying a suite at the Plaza. A suburban couple take the suite while their house is being painted and it turns out to be the one in which they honeymooned 23 (or was it 24?) years before and was yesterday the anniversary, or is it today? This wry tale of marriage in tatters is followed by the exploits of a Hollywood producer who, after three marriages, is looking for fresh fields. He calls a childhood sweetheart, now a suburban housewife, for a little sexual diversion. Over the years she has idolized him from afar and is now more than the match he bargained for. The last couple is a mother and father fighting about the best way to get their daughter out of the bathroom and down to the ballroom where guests await her or as Mother yells, “I want you to come out of that bathroom and get married!” The Mammoth Lakes Repertory Theatre presents Plaza Suite from February 9- 19, 2023 (Thurs – Sat @ 7pm Sun @4pm) at the Edison Theatre – 100 College Parkway.

Please leash your Dog!

The Mammoth Lakes Police Department is issuing citations to all owners with dogs off-leash at Shady Rest Park and throughout Town after issuing only warnings for the last 2 years. It is unlawful for any dog owner to allow their dog to run at large within the Town of Mammoth Lakes Municipal Boundary. The Eastern Sierra offers an incredible outdoor playground for dog owners to play and walk with your dog(s) off-leash. The Town is moving forward with plans for a dog park with construction expected to commence in the fall of 2023. Thank you for your commitment in keeping Mammoth Lakes safe and beautiful for all to enjoy! Learn more about Dog Resources, Licensing, Education and Enforcement.
