Inyo County Search and Rescue a Top-five Finalist for Defender Service Awards

Inyo County Search and Rescue is a top-five finalist for the Defender Service Awards presented by CHASE in the Search, Rescue, and Emergency Support Services category.
From October 2-17, the general public will get to vote on which finalist gets to take home the grand prize: a new Land Rover Defender. As the only California-based finalist in this category, Inyo County Search and Rescue is trying to gather support statewide to win this top-of-the-line all-terrain vehicle and put it to use saving lives.
Inyo County Search & Rescue is an all-volunteer nonprofit providing search and rescue services to California’s rugged and sparsely populated Eastern Sierra. Braving extreme weather conditions and diverse geographical terrain, Inyo County Search & Rescue responds to over 50 emergencies per year, from medical emergencies to technical rock and snow rescues.

Inyo SAR is a tremendous group of volunteers. My family and I are voting for them every day until October 17th, using several email accounts.
