Building Power for Change in the Eastern Sierra… and Beyond!

After we march, what comes next? Have you ever asked yourself that? Have you wondered how we turn our incredible local marches and rallies into real power for positive action and change?

We have some answers. On November 15, INYO350 is working with local and regional allies to host an important gathering and training for Eastern Sierra advocates for social justice, environmental protection, and democracy.

INYO350 is participating in this day of training because our fundamental mission is to empower folks to be engaged and work for the betterment of our communities, our country, and the planet. In recent months, we’ve repeatedly witnessed the incredible potential of helping environmental activists and community members of all ages step into advocacy and organizing roles. Moving forward (and on the heels of our successful fundraising efforts–more on that soon) INYO350 is determined to do all we can to grow and diversify the movement for justice and the environment in our area!

The November 15 training will be held in the community hall at the Bishop United Methodist Church from 9AM-5PM. Lunch will be provided. Together, we will: 1) learn and discuss the basic principles and processes of strategic organizing, 2) build a sense of activism and political community, 3) expand our understanding of power & how to build real power to advance and build the movement for social and environmental justice in our region, 4) create clear action items and connections to organizations to participate in on-the-ground action, and 5) go forward as an inspired and connected force for social and political change. where we focus on embracing diversity in a welcoming and inclusive community.

This training offers the next great opportunity for us all to elevate our activism and effectiveness!

Pre-registration is required. Register by November 7th.
