High Winds Prompt Landfill Closure
Due to high winds in the Bishop area, the Bishop-Sunland Landfill is closing for the rest of the day for the safety of the public and onsite staff. Strong wind conditions create unsafe operating environments and increase the risk of blowing debris.
Please do not attempt to enter the facility until further notice. The landfill will reopen as soon as conditions improve and it is safe to resume operations.
