Bishop Broncos JV Softball Wins Season Opener Against Burroughs 10-9

The Bronco JV softball team won their season opener 10-9 against Burrough’s (Ridgecrest) in dramatic fashion with a walk-off hit with bases loaded in the bottom of the 5^th inning.

Jillian Wolfe was the player of the game.  She pitched 5 innings, struck out 14 batters and had 2 base hits including the game winner.

This was a great team win with numerous players contributing including:

Ginger Lowden had a single, a double and scored 2 runs.

Lizette Romero had 2 walks, a single and scored 2 runs.  She also made a great catch in right field early in the game to end an inning.

Sophie Dishion played a great game at shortstop and had 2 singles and scored 2 runs.

Tannyr Ludwick played a solid game at catcher and hit a home run.

Taylor Currie had a single and scored a run.

Cadence Knott had a walk and scored a run.

Aubree Frechette had a single, and scored a run.
