Bishop Bronco Baseball Stampedes Over the Lone Pine Golden Eagles 29-0

Bronco Baseball ThumbOn Tuesday, 3/15 The Bishop Broncos defeated Lone Pine 29-0 as three pitchers combined to throw a shutout.

Albert Cano led the Broncos to victory by driving in eight runs.  Cano went 2-3 at the plate driving in runs on a grand slam in the first, a walk in the second and a home run in the third.
Caleb Gillem went 2-3 with two singles and a dinger in the fourth inning.
The remainder of the team also hit well:
Riley Eropkin, 1-3, single , 4 RBIs and 3 runs
Jake Frigerio 1-3, double, 3 runs, 2 stolen bases
Acie Valdivia 1-3, single, 1 RBI, 3 runs
Reese Dondero 2-3, 2 singles, 4 RBIs, 4 runs
Kennedy Batchelder, 2-5, 2 singles, 1 RBI, 2 runs
Cain Omohundro led the team with quality at bats, getting hit by pitch 3 times, walking twice and scoring 4 runs.
Riley Erokin led things off on the pitcher’s mound for the Broncos, lasting two innings and allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out one.
Cain Omohundro followed by pitching two innings, allowing 2 hits and striking out 4 batters.
Bodie Garcia pitched the final inning with no hits and one strike out.
The Broncos defense was solid with no errors and will be hosting their first home game facing league opponent Frazier Mountain on Tuesday 3/22.
