AgPass is Now Available for Commercial Agriculture Producers
Inyo and Mono counties have introduced a new way to help commercial agriculture producers protect their operations during natural disasters. Under the AgPass program, counties can now issue special passes that may allow producers to enter evacuation zones for critical tasks—such as moving livestock or irrigating crops—when it’s safe to do so. Both Inyo and Mono counties have officially adopted this program through recently passed resolutions.
To qualify for an AgPass, producers must verify their commercial status by submitting documentation, completing required fire safety training, and providing property maps.
Please note that access is not guaranteed through this program and is still subject to permission from incident command staff and may be conditioned to certain areas or timeframes.
Applications are now available online through the Inyo-Mono Counties Agricultural Commissioner’s page on the Inyo County website: www.inyocounty.us. Producers can also call (760) 873-7860 to arrange an in-person meeting to apply.
