JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
Senior Research and Systems Analyst
Salary Range: Range 69 ($8,533 -$11,446 per month) plus benefits
FLSA Classification: Non Exempt
Bargaining Unit: Non-Management
The Great Basin Unified Air Pollution Control District seeks qualified candidates for the Senior Research and Systems Analyst role. The position leads and oversees air quality analyses and data processing tasks. Work duties include supervision of staff and projects; performing air quality analyses; leading air quality modeling efforts; working as part of a team to ensure accurate air monitoring data collection and reporting; assisting with the preparation of technical studies and reports; performing compliance evaluation of dust control areas; and developing clear and accessible data summaries and reports for internal and public use. The position also oversees professional services consulting contracts and performs other work as necessary. The work duties include office work as well as occasional fieldwork.
Successful performance requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, present to the Governing Board and other audiences, represent the District in public meetings, coordinate activities and establish positive working relationships, summarize scientific reports and review research proposals, and the ability to prepare and review detailed technical reports.

Fiscal Services Technician
Salary Range: Range 38 ($6,433-8,623 per month) plus benefits
FLSA Classification: Full-Time, Non Exempt

The Great Basin Unified Air Pollution Control District seeks qualified candidates for a Fiscal Services Technician. Under general supervision, the position performs a wide range of financial, accounting, and administrative duties. This role is crucial to ensuring timely and accurate calculation and processing of payroll, accounts payable, budget tracking, and financial reporting.
Successful performance of the work requires knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and knowledge and ability to use financial software. The Financial Services Technician must have the ability to be detail oriented, dependable, organized, and work collaboratively with staff, auditors, and public agencies.

Administrative Services Officer
FLSA Classification Salary Range Bargaining Unit Exempt Range 82 Non-Represented, Confidential ($9,710-$13,027/month DOE)
The Great Basin Unified Air Pollution Control District seeks qualified candidates for a Administrative Services Officer. Under administrative direction of the Air Pollution Control Officer (APCO), the position plans, organizes, and manages the administrative services for the District, including leading and overseeing all financial and human resources activities of the agency including budgeting, accounting, and human resources. The position is also responsible for contract management, purchasing, grant and special funding management, safety, risk management, legal compliance, benefit administration, facilities management services, and other related work as required.
This is a management classification that aids the APCO in a variety of administrative, coordinative, analytical, and liaison capacities. Successful performance of the work requires knowledge of public policy, all District functions and activities, including the role of the Governing Board, and the ability to develop, oversee, and implement projects and programs in a variety of areas. Responsibilities include supervising and overseeing the complex and varied function of the administrative division, as well as coordinating the activities of the division with other divisions and outside agencies. The incumbent is accountable for accomplishing divisional planning, operational goals, and objectives and for furthering District goals and objectives within general policy guidelines.
