Stay Safe Over Memorial Day Weekend!

Stay Safe Around Waterways!

Runoff season has started. And while waterways are not as full as last year’s historic year, they are still flow fast. Please adhere to all warning and closure signs – they are there for a reason! Swift-flowing water and high water levels with strong currents can pose potential safety hazards. Use caution at all times, please! Enjoy the Eastern Sierra, safely and responsibly this weekend.
Klondike Lake Opens for Boating on Friday, May 24

From May 24 to September 15, Klondike Lake will be open for limited public boating use on weekend days only: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 9 a.m. to sunset.
Precautions are being taken to guard against invasive mussels at this site, so all motorized watercraft will be inspected before launching into Klondike Lake. Boat access to Klondike is free this summer period.
