Semi Truck drove off the road and down a ravine near Bridgeport
At 2:45pm today CHP Bridgeport got a call of a semi tanker over the edge of the highway and down at the bottom of a ravine. Officers arrived on scene at southbound US 395 approximately 12 miles south of Bridgeport and observed a tractor and tanker trailer approximately 500 feet down a ravine, and remarkably the tractor and trailer were upright on all of its wheels. Preliminary investigation indicates the fuel tanker was traveling northbound US 395, traveled across northbound and southbound lanes, off of the roadway and down to the bottom of the ravine. The driver sustained minor injuries. No other parties were involved and the tanker is full of approximately 79,000 pounds of fuel with no leaks
Good to hear that the fuel didn’t leak.
