Temporary Closure: March 1 – through June 30, 2026

North Landing Road north of Crowley Lake Reservoir remains closed to vehicles.

Due to high lake levels, LADWP will not be re-opening the gate after the Greater Sage Grouse closure this year. At this time, like in previous years, the lake levels are too high and have been deemed unsafe for vehicles. The closure will be lifted once lake levels drop.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding!

As of March 2026, Rawson Canal Road in Bishop will be closed for an estimated 3 to 6 months to address emergency repairs for a new, more resilient culvert crossing to improve public safety and access. The closure extends from East Line Street at the northern end to just north of Buckley Pond #1.

For everyone’s safety, all vehicle and pedestrian access is prohibited during this period. Please follow posted signs and respect any gate closures in place. Crews are working as quickly and safely as possible to complete the needed repairs. For questions or concerns, email [email protected] or connect with Lesly Figueroa, Community Liaison, at (213) 982-4076.

Crowley Lake Boat Inspections
Help keep Crowley Lake and our waterways clean and safe!

mono county

Boat inspections kick off opening weekend, starting April 22.

All boats must be checked before launching. If your boat shows signs of contamination or contains water or debris that could harbor invasive mussels, it won’t be allowed on the lake.

Starting this year, every boat needs a free Eastern Sierra Golden Mussel Collective sticker, which you’ll get during your inspection.
