THE VELCIRAPTOR IS NOT EXTINCT!
One of the gnarliest trails in the US is now open. While not the easiest to get to, Velociraptor is an expert and pro level rider’s dream. Exposed from the get-go, the steep, unrelenting nature of the trail features numerous drops, blind rollers, and rock gardens and doesn’t let up until the runout above McCoy Station. If you’re up for it, this trail is not to be missed. Buried in snow for the entire summer of 2024, “the Raptor” is a welcomed addition back to our trail offering.
Operational notes to keep in mind: Due to the Chair 1 construction project, Panorama Gondola and Stump Alley Express (2) will be closed for extended periods on August 22, 23, and possibly 24 (subject to change). This will impact the Bike Park and Scenic Gondola Rides so please plan accordingly. Discovery Chair (11) and the Bike Park Shuttle will remain open. We will also be moving the course for the August 23 VCDH race from Velocity to Shotgun.
