The next scheduled meeting of the Mammoth Lakes Town Council is Wednesday, October 15, 2025.

Mono County Launches Community Support Grant Programs

Mono County, through its Economic Development, Tourism, and Film Commission, is pleased to announce that applications are now open for three Community Support Grant Programs to assist established non-profit organizations across the county. These are all reimbursement programs, with funding identified in the Fiscal Year 2025/26 budget.

  • Community Event Marketing Fund (CEMF) to help non-profit groups advertise and promote tourism-based community events to markets outside the Eastern Sierra with the goal to increase year-round visitation and overnight stays. Up to $5,000 is available per event with $25,000 available for award.
  • Historical Societies Grant Program (HSGP) to support established non-profit historical societies and museums in Mono County with eligible projects and programs. Up to $4,000 is available per organization with $14,000 for award.
  • Performing & Visual Arts Grant Program (PVAG) to support established non-profit Performing and Visual Arts organizations in Mono County with eligible projects and programs. Up to $4,500 is available per organization, with $25,000 for award.

Parks and Recreation News

To close out Summer, Mammoth Parks and Recreation is hosting a Pickleball Tournament on Saturday, October 11. There will be both A and B Divisions – all divisions will welcome mixed doubles or same gender teams. Join us for Recreational Curling on our dedicated curling sheet this fall at LA Kings Ice at Mammoth Lakes. Grab some friends and make a team! Games are held on Sunday nights.

October 24 – Annual Haunted Rink at the Community Recreation Center.

Adult Soccer and Volleyball registration will open in late October for winter play.
