Mammoth Lakes Community Dog Park Ribbon Cutting Ceremony – November 6
The Mammoth Lakes Town Council will celebrate the opening of the Towns first-ever community dog park with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 3:15pm on Wednesday, November 6, 2024.
The community is invited to attend the official opening of the community dog park by dressing up their dog in a Halloween or festive costume. Prizes will be awarded for both small and large dogs, compliments of our local pet stores. Owners and their dogs are asked to arrive prior to the ribbon cutting ceremony at 3:00pm.
The off-leash dog area is located on land owned by the Mammoth Lakes Foundation at 190 College Parkway and is approximately one acre in size. It includes a 5-foot perimeter fence, with a double-entry gate system and separate small and large dog areas. The dog park features 5,000 square feet of custom dog turf, 4 benches with water bowls in both the small and large dog areas. Parking is available for approximately 40 vehicles, and a restroom with water fountains and bottle filling stations is onsite. Leash posts are coming soon!
The Town would like to thank T-Mobile for their generosity and commitment to jumpstart vital community development projects in rural communities. The Town also acknowledges the Parks and Recreation Commission, Pawsitively Mammoth, the Mammoth Lakes Chamber of Commerce, Mammoth Lakes Recreation, Mammoth Lakes Police Department, Sierra Dog Ventures, and our many residents who passionately advocated for this recreation amenity.
