Proclamation of a Local Emergency in Mammoth
On March 3, 2023, Town Manager Daniel C. Holler declared by proclamation the existence of a local emergency in the Town of Mammoth Lakes. This action is the result of the extreme winter snowstorms experienced during the months of January and February causing conditions of extreme peril to the safety of persons and property in the Town of Mammoth Lakes.

Woodstove Replacement Program
The Town of Mammoth Lakes is announcing a new Woodstove Replacement Program for property owners who want to upgrade from wood-burning stoves and fireplaces to cleaner, more efficient heating systems.
Portable Backup Generator Warning
During our current winter season, Mono County Public Health reminds residents to never use a backup generator inside of a home, garage, or other structure – even if the doors and windows are open. Portable backup generators produce poisonous carbon monoxide gas, which is coloroless and odorless. It is important that residents and visitors take caution when using these tools during the winter season.
COVID & Flu Vaccines
Mono County Public Health is available for businesses that are interested in setting up vaccine clinics at their businesses for employees. They can provide both COVID and flu vaccines. Contact Jen Burrows for details.
