Laws Railroad Museum Celebrating Inyo County’s Anniversary, National Women’s History Month with Special Event on March 22

The Laws Railroad Museum’s Train Crew is Celebrating Inyo County’s Anniversary, and National Women’s History Month March 22, with rides on the historic 1927 Death Valley Brill railcar, children’s activities in the Engine House, and Engine House docents to provide updates on the restoration of the 1909 “Slim Princess” steam locomotive.

Tickets for Brill Car rides are $8.00 per adult, $4.00 for young people under 18, unless they are three and under in which case they ride free.  Well behaved leashed or contained pets are welcome to ride free, and the railcar is accessible to all. In honor of Womens’ history month,  docents aboard the Brill Car will focus their presentations on women in nineteenth Century railroading and mining. Train tickets are good for rides all day as long as the train is running.

Brill Car operation will be between 10:00 and 3:00, contingent upon weather and operator availability.  The Museum is open 10:00-4:00 and is located at 200 Silver Canyon Road off Hwy 6.
