Give the Gift of the Arts
Eastern Sierra Arts Alliance
home of
Mammoth Lakes Repertory Theatre &
Mammoth Lakes Film Festival

Giving Tuesday is now and Eastern Sierra Arts Alliance is humbly asking for your support.
Your financial contributions make it possible for us to produce innovative artistic and educational programming as seen in the photos below.
Your financial support allows us to provide entertaining and inspiring productions of the highest caliber throughout the year.
It more importantly allows us to provide free educational programming for adults, teenagers and children in our community.
We also produce a field trip experience to our Theatre for Young Audiences shows, free of charge, to all elementary schools in the Eastern Sierra and have done so every year for the past 15 years.
We do it, with your support, because arts programming fosters connections and shared experiences among community members.
Together we can continue to impact, enrich, and inspire our youth, our community and our visitors. Thank you for being a part of our mission! Your support is essential and very much appreciated.

From all of us at Eastern Sierra Arts Alliance, thank you for your investment in the cultural vitality of our beautiful community!

Here is a photo and a brief review from our recent production of the Pulitzer Prize Winning play CLYBOURNE PARK written by Bruce Norris and inspired by the play RAISIN IN THE SUN by Lorraine Hansberry
“…Dubrovner is taking a risk with this play… Art is supposed to make us think. It is supposed to make us feel uncomfortable. In an era of woke-ism on the left and Trumpism on the right, “Clybourne Park” forces the audience to confront their own conceptions of race. By bringing the play to Mammoth Lakes, Dubrovner opens the conversation in our backyard. It’s a risk worth taking.”

Our Theatre for Young Audience production is an annual event that we offer to every Elementary School in Mono and Inyo County; all students to come to the theatre free of charge to see a play targeted for grades TK to 5th grade. This past October we had over 1,000 elementary students from Mammoth Elementary, Bridgeport, Lee Vining, Bishop, and Home School students come by bus on a field trip experience to the theatre. They learned theatre etiquette and saw a play that always has life lessons incorporated into it. This year we performed Corduroy based on the children’s classic tale. This program relies completely on donations and grants.

MORE CHILDREN’S PROGRAMMING:
SHAKESPEARE KIDS- Children’s Summer Camp
We provide a professional educational program that brings the brilliance and fun of William Shakespeare’s works to students of all ages.
We combine specialty workshops in varied performance skills – including swordplay and dance, with a fun rehearsal process that culminates in a grand performance for family and friends.

At Mammoth High School, the funding for the drama program was cut over a decade ago. For the past three seasons we have been provided a free Drama Club after-school program and produced a full-length play at the end of the school year. Last year’s impressive production of RADIUM GIRLS wowed audiences.
We hope you will continue to support our efforts in the Eastern Sierra which not only inspires locals and visitors alike by its majestic scenery but also by the impressive year-round performing arts that the Eastern Sierra Arts Alliance provides in the community.
