Five RBI Day for Jake Frigerio Seals the Deal in Bishop Broncos’s Final Victory Over Kern Valley
Jake Frigerio showed timely hitting on Thursday, driving in five on one hits to lead Bishop Broncos past Kern Valley 21-1. Frigerio drove in runs on a single in the first, a fielder’s choice in the third, and a walk in the fourth.
Bishop Broncos got things moving in the first inning. Bishop Broncos scored two runs when Frigerio singled.
Bishop Broncos notched eight runs in the third inning. The offensive onslaught by Bishop Broncos was led by Caleb Gillem, Riley Eropkin, Acie Valdivia, and Frigerio, all driving in runs in the inning.
Valdivia led things off on the mound for Bishop Broncos. The hurler lasted four innings, allowing five hits and one run while striking out seven and walking one.
TJ Sanders started the game for Kern Valley. The pitcher went two and a third innings, allowing 12 runs on nine hits and striking out one. Seth Stockwell, Braxton Farnum, and Brayden Liberio each contributed in relief for Kern Valley.
Bishop Broncos hit one home run on the day. Cain Omohundro went yard in the first inning.
Bishop Broncos racked up 17 hits on the day. Eropkin, Gillem, Albert Cano, Reese Dondero, Valdivia, and Omohundro each collected multiple hits for Bishop Broncos. Gillem and Eropkin each collected three hits to lead Bishop Broncos.
Zach Wargo led Kern Valley with two hits in three at bats.
