Movie Review: Black Widow
First time back in the cinema and what a great movie! The main and supporting cast all did a great job, particularly Scarlett Johannson, David Harbour and Florence Pugh.
Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger.
The opening scene is the best from any Marvel movie ever. A great addition to the MCU movie series, well written with a great cast, this backstory film of Natasha Romanoff fills in a lot of the blanks of her history and we get to meet her eccentric “family”. It’s a well done Marvel action film with enough heart.
It’s well worth going to see on the big screen as the action is so well shot and the fight choreography and direction is excellent. It’s also got some great humor, especially in the middle sections of the film. Overall, 100% recommend. You can definitely see why Marvel waited to release this one in cinemas.
Black Widow is rated PG-13 for intense sequences of violence/action, some language, and thematic material.
