DVNHA Reopens Furnace Creek Visitor Center

Death Valley Natural History Association (DVNHA) is happy to announce that the Furnace Creek Visitor Center will re-open today. This continued operation is made possible through funding provided by DVNHA, with a $10,000 donation. In partnership with the National Park Service (NPS), DVNHA is covering daily operational costs to ensure that visitors continue to have access to the park’s primary visitor center.

“The Death Valley Natural History Association believes that keeping the Furnace Creek Visitor Center open is essential to the safety and enjoyment of our visitors. We hope that this situation will end soon, and we would like to thank all our members and people who love Death Valley for their support and donations.” David Blacker, Executive Director.

DVNHA’s financial contribution will keep the Furnace Creek Visitor Center open through October 15th, unless the shutdown ends sooner. This partnership underscores the association’s dedication to supporting not only its park partners but the visitors who love this incredibly unique place on Earth.

Please consider helping us sustain this effort by donating to the DVNHA Unrestricted Fund, which offsets operational costs and ensures continued access if the shutdown persists.
