City of Bishop Fire Chief Joe Dell Announces His Resignation

BISHOP — On Tuesday, May 30, 2023 the Bishop City Council received a 60-
day resignation notice from City of Bishop Fire Chief Joe Dell. The notice
advised the Council of Chief Dell’s decision to move back to Colorado with his
family. The City Council wishes Chief Dell the very best in his future endeavors
and appreciates his leadership and the efforts he has devoted to fire safety in our
city and in our community these past five years. The City Council will begin
discussions on how best to fill the position both on an interim and permanent
basis.
