Caltrans Reopens North June Lake Loop from Winter Closure

MONO COUNTY — Caltrans reopened State Route 158 N/North June Lake Loop as of noon today, March 21, 2022. North June Lake Loop is the first highway in District 9 to reopen from its winter closure. Should significant winter weather be forecast for the area, the highway will remain subject to a storm closure. As wildlife may have utilized the highway during its winter closure, drivers should be aware of, and slow down for, any animals near or on North June Lake Loop and roadways throughout Mono, Inyo, and eastern Kern counties.
