Bishop Senior Center Closure
The Bishop Senior Center will be closed to in-person congregate lunch and all other activities for the month of January 2024 for renovation of the dining facility. Inyo County Health and Human Services estimates a tentative re-opening date of Monday, February 5, 2024.
The Bishop Senior Center will continue to utilize the kitchen to provide home delivered meals. Individuals who attend congregate lunches at the Bishop Senior Center may sign up to receive a weekly delivery of frozen meals while the facility is closed. Congregate meal participants may sign up for frozen meal delivery at the Bishop Senior Center before December 29, 2023, or may call 760-873-5240 at any time during the facility closure.
During the closure, a Bishop Senior Center staff member will be available Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Clint Quilter Building, 1360 N Main St. in Bishop, to provide bus passes, phone support and other services normally provided at the Bishop Senior Center.
