Are You Prepared?
Emergency alerts can save your life, which is why the Town utilizes the Ready Mono alert system in partnership with Mono County. The system quickly notifies residents and visitors about evacuations, road closures, weather warnings, and other important information during emergencies such as wildfires, floods, and severe storms. Alerts can come through text messages, phone calls, or email, depending on your preferences and they are specific to your area. Signing up ensures you receive official information directly from Mono County Emergency Management, not through social media rumors or third-hand reports. You can register multiple phone numbers and email addresses to cover your household, business and more: Go to https://ready.mono.ca.gov/ Click “Sign Up for Alerts” Enter your name, address, and preferred contact methods Choose the types of alerts you want to receive (e.g., evacuation warnings, weather, power outages) Save your profile and confirm your contact information.
