Bishop Broncos Varsity Boys Basketball Lose Tough Game to Desert 65-44
The Bishop Boys Varsity Basketball team travelled to Edwards Air Force base yesterday to take on the Scorpions.
The Broncos came out flat and just didn’t have a good rythm all night long. We trailed at halftime 29-20. The third quarter the scorpions pulled away leading at the end of the third quarter 49-30. Broncos fell by a score of 44-65.
We just couldn’t get it going and got into a lot of foul trouble allowing the Scorpions to shoot 16 free throws to the Broncos 3. Was just a tough night for us so we will need to bounce back on Friday night.
Leading scoring for the Broncos was Emory Dondero with 12, Chris Charley with 10, Devaun Mitchell with 8, Carlos Sualez with 7, Dom Dondero with 3 and Charley Lewis and Jakobe Dondero both with 2.
The Broncos will be on the road to finish the season going to Cal City on Friday and Boron on Tuesday.
