Bishop Broncos Boys Varsity Basketball Defeat Rosamond 67-58 in Hard-fought Game

The Boys Varsity Basketball team traveled to Rosamond last night to take on the Roadrunners. They both came into this game with a 8-3 league record and tied for second in the High Desert League. There was as a lot at stake for both our teams as far as playoff seeding goes.
This was one of the faster paced games we played. Bishop had the lead 36-25 going into the half. It was a back and forth battle coming down the stretch in the 4 quarter with both teams trading the lead but ended up with a tie at the end and this one went to overtime. Same thing in overtime with both teams scoring back and forth. Broncos had the lead with 3 seconds left to play when Rosamond got a long pass and hit a really tough shot to send the game to double overtime. In the second overtime the Broncos shut down the Rosamond offense and created multiple turnovers and were able to outscore them 11-2 in the second overtime and winning the game 67-58. It was a big win for us and a hard fought game.
The leading scorers for the Broncos was Will Kemp with 18 points followed by Dom Dondero with 17 points, Carlos Sualez had 16 points, Emory Dondero had 6 points, Devaun Mitchell added 5 points, Jakobe Dondero had 3 points and Richie Talavera added 2 points.
The Broncos will be at home Friday night against the Desert Scorpions and close out the season at Home on Tuesday against the Cal City Ravens.
Thank you.
