Bishop Bronco Varsity Football Fall to 1-2 on Season with 35-9 Loss to Garces

The Broncos fall to 1-2 on the season with a 35-9 loss at Garces Memorial High School in Bakersfield. After 3 straight games to open the season the Broncos will be home this Friday vs. Ridgecrest Burroughs. Friday night at Garces Bishop was down 21-9 in the 3rd quarter before allowing a pair of scores falling 35-9. Defensively for the Broncos Dom Dondero led the way with 5 solo tackles. Knox Moffett had 4 with Devaun Mitchell adding 3 solo tackles including a tackle for loss that resulted in a safety. David Smith force a fumble and Chucky Delgado recovered a fumble. Richie Talavera added an interception for the Bronco Defense. The Bishop offense was led by quarterback Emory Dondero who was 11 of 22 passing for 138 yards and rushed for 67 yards on 13 carries. Hunter Dailey went over 100 yards for the 2nd consecutive game rushing for 103 yards on 18 carries including a touchdown.
