Access Mammoth Named Senate District 4’s 2026 Nonprofit of the  Year 

Recognition Honors Organizations Creating Lasting Positive Impact in Their Communities 

MAMMOTH LAKES, Calif. – Access Mammoth is honored to announce that it has been selected as  Senate District 4’s 2026 Nonprofit of the Year.

This year’s recognition theme, “Transforming Loss into Legacy,” honors organizations whose work helps individuals, families, and communities navigate hardship and change while creating lasting positive impact.

Through adaptive mountain recreation programs throughout the year, Access Mammoth is dedicated to expanding access to recreation and removing barriers that prevent people from participating in outdoor activities. The award recognizes Access Mammoth’s continued commitment to creating access to mountain recreation throughout the Eastern Sierra and supporting opportunities for individuals with disabilities to participate in outdoor experiences.

Access Mammoth will formally receive the award during the Mammoth Lakes Town Council meeting on Wednesday, July 15, at 4:00 PM. Community members are invited to attend and celebrate this honor and the importance of creating access to mountain recreation throughout the Eastern Sierra.
