Felony Charges Filed in Multiple Fraud and Embezzlement Cases Involving Bishop Paiute Tribal Programs
The Inyo County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with the Bishop Paiute Tribe and the Inyo County District Attorney’s Office, announces the filing of multiple felony cases involving fraud and theft-related offenses occurring in connection with Bishop Paiute Tribal programs and operations. These cases have been filed in the Inyo County Superior Court and are matters of public record.
Case Filings
People v. Adrienne Johnette Dondero-Small– Case No. 26FB73686 | ICSO Case No. 26-02-052
Charges: WI 10980(c)(2) – Felony Aid by Misrepresentation (over $950)
Penal Code 532(a) – Felony Obtaining Money, Labor, or Property by False Pretenses (over $950)
People v. Kylee Jane Andreas- Case No. 25FB73036 | ICSO Case No. 25-10-045
Charges: WI 10980(c)(2) – Felony Aid by Misrepresentation (over $950)
Penal Code 532(a) – Felony Obtaining Money, Labor, or Property by False Pretenses (over $950)
People v. Alejandro Villegas Ruiz– Case No. 26FB73829 | ICSO Case No. 26-06-009
Charges: Penal Code 503 – Embezzlement (Felony)
Penal Code 487(a) – Grand Theft (Felony)
These cases involve alleged misuse of funds and/or property connected to Bishop Paiute Tribal programs, businesses, and assistance programs. Investigations were conducted by the Inyo County Sheriff’s Office with assistance from the Bishop Paiute Tribe. The cases are being prosecuted by the Inyo County District Attorney’s Office and are currently pending in Inyo County Superior Court.
All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
