The National Weather Service has issued the following storm warning for the Eastern Sierra starting Thursday 2/13.
- Rain and snow expected.
- Periods of heavy snow and strong winds creating whiteout conditions for the Sierra Thursday into early Friday.
- Flash flood watch in effect for the Owens Valley from late tonight 2/12 through early Friday due to heavy rain and mountain runoff.
What to do during a Power Outage? Be prepared:
- Report outages by calling 1-800-992-8331 (Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) and (833) 325-2397 after hours.
- Subscribe to Inyo County’s new Genasys Protect™ enhanced alert system at ready.inyocounty.us.
- Remember that our first priority is safety. Our crews and first responders must ensure conditions are safe before beginning any power restoration work.
- Stay Informed: Listen to radio and television, including NOAA Weather Radio if possible, and check trusted internet and social media sources.
