VELOCITY & CHAINSMOKE OPEN IN THEIR ENTIRETY
Construction projects have kept the upper sections of Chain Smoke and Velocity closed this season, but starting today, both are open in their entirety. You can launch off the Velocity opening jump or you can smash down the upper Chain Smoke rock garden. In the case of Chain Smoke that upper rock garden is no joke. Tight turns and steep chunks of rock set you up for a multi-stage rock garden that when ridden rider’s left is as exposed and technical as just about any feature in the park.
OPERATIONAL UPDATES:
Panorama Gondola and Stump Alley Express (2) will be closed for the Chair 1 construction project on Sunday, August 25. Due to wind, we were unable to install the lift towers on Thursday so we needed to reschedule. These closures and this work will impact the Bike Park and Scenic Gondola Rides.
Also impacted will be the VCDH on Aug 23. We will be moving the course for this race from Velocity to Shotgun. Always a favorite, it’s time to stomp on the pedals and send it down a Mammoth Bike Park favorite.
