Mono County Office of Emergency Management Launches Fire Insurance Cancellation Resources Webpage on READY Mono Portal
MONO COUNTY, Calif. (September 3, 2024) – Last week, the Mono County Office of Emergency Management launched their new Fire Insurance Cancellation Resources informational webpage on the READY Mono portal to help residents facing fire insurance non-renewal or cancellation. The Fire Insurance Cancellation Resources page offers various resources and guidance on what steps to take if your insurance is not renewed.
“Like many Californians, Mono County residents are seeing their fire insurance cancelled or raised astronomically,” said Chris Mokracek, Director of Mono County Emergency Management. “This new informational website is meant to serve as a resource for residents who have had their insurance cancelled. It also offers tips on how to make your home more resistant to wildfire threats, which can help maintain your insurance coverage.”
