Register for the NEW Winter Camp!
Join Parks and Recreation for 5-days of winter fun over the President’s week holidayย (Feb. 21-15).ย This camp is for grades 3-5, is offered from 9am-4pm (Mon. – Thur.) and 9am-noon on Friday and is only $150/participant. Activities include ice skating, broom ball, hiking or snowshoeing, snow-shelter building, swimming at Keough’s and team games at the Community Center.ย Click hereย for additional information and to register!

Get Your Skate on at the Mammoth Ice Rink!
The Mammoth Ice Rink is open seven days a week, typically from Noon-10:00pm (conditions permitting). Winter Fitness Challenge is ON!
Parks and Recreation is challenging the community to 100-miles this winter. ย Everyone is welcome to participate, and entry is FREE. Once registered, you have until the end of March to log 100 miles either skiing, snowboarding, skating, walking, biking, etc. Aย mix of activities is encouraged. Everyone who finishes 100 miles is entered into a raffle drawing for prizes, but the real prize is livingย a healthy lifestyle! NEW: Apply to be a Recreation Intern forย Gymnastics
Do you have a passion for teaching gymnastics style programs? Join our Parks and Recreation team to assist our gymnastics coach. This winterโs focus will be on Tumbling and Cheerย programs.ย Our team teaches various age groups.ย Lessons will typically run Monday – Thursday evenings.ย Flexible scheduling possible. NEW: Learn How to Officiate Basketball Games
Expand your skills and become one of our Officials in Training (O.I.T). Open to 9-12thย graders, youth will learn how to run a basketball game, operate the time clock, call fouls and keep stats during our Hot Shots Basketball League. This is a paid position.ย Apply online.

Community Recreation Center (CRC) Update
Hamel Contracting Inc.ย is on winter suspension, with work planned to resume in the spring of 2022 coinciding with the arrival of the Sprung Structure. The site will be secured for the winter. Look for the weekly #crcupdates to resume in 2022!ย ย Temporary park closure:ย For the duration of construction for the newย Community Recreation Center, the Mammoth Creek Park playground, restrooms and parking lot will be CLOSED to the public. The Town will maintain public restrooms on the eastside of Mammoth Creek Park accessible from the multi-use path.ย We invite you to enjoy one of our many playgrounds at Trails End Park, Shady Rest Park and the Community Center.ย We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your understanding as we work towards enhancing our community recreation amenities.

Mono County Little League
Registration for the 2022 Mono County Little League season isย NOW OPEN. The cost is $95 per child, with a sibling discount of $10 for each additional child (2nd child: $10 off, 3rd child: $20 off, 4th child: $30 off, etc.). Registration closes onย March 22, 2022. Leave No Trace!
While enjoying beautiful Shady Rest Park, the groomed Nordic trails, or the sensational views at the Sherwins Trailhead, please park in designated areas and leave no trace! Trash bins are provided, along with complimentary doggie bags so please keep your dog on a leash, pick up your dogs waste AND put it in the trash bin. We encourage responsible dog ownership while visiting these high-use areas by adhering to the Town Municipal Code below. Elevate Mammoth
Elevateย is Mammoth Hospital’s community prevention, wellness, and performance institute focused on improving the health of our community through facilitating positive lifestyle choices and providing the necessary knowledge, resources, and skills. Elevate was launched in the Spring of 2021 by Mammoth Hospital. Join a variety of virtual and in-person wellness programs including Pilates, Tai Chi, and Mom Strong: Perinatal Core & Pelvic Health, support groups, prenatal classes, and education series on nutrition and mindfulness. The library continues to offer freeย all-agesย seasonal Makerspace Kits and Activity Zines for pick up at the front desk, along with Storytime To Go bags for young families at Mammoth Lakes Library.ย School age kids can still sign up for a few remaining slots in our winterย MonoBookBox Programย and high school age teens can participate in ourย Evolution of Storytelling Projectย ย which includes free journaling boxes and zine-making kits and this season adds in-house use of iPads for digital story creation and recording equipment for oral history/podcast style storytelling.ย Adults can take advantage of our Drop-In Sewing Machine Time at the 2nd floor Makerspace every Wednesday from 2:30-4:30pm
