Dear Chamber Members and Community Supporters:

It’s CHSRA State Finals Rodeo week and we’re so happy to welcome 327 of the state’s best cowboys and cowgirls to Bishop!

Yesterday, the Bishop Chamber of Commerce coordinated a luncheon for all the student athletes and their families. It was a resounding success thanks to the Tri-County Fairgrounds, Hometown Catering, many volunteers and co-sponsors Inyo County, City of Bishop, SCE, LADWP, Farmer Brothers and Gillespie Distributing.

Each contestant also received a commemorative t-shirt and gift bag with items & discounts contributed by local shops & restaurants. Thanks to all who have helped the Bishop Chamber of Commerce provide a warm welcome to CHSRA since 2005.

Tonight is Patriotic Night at the rodeo – we hope you’ll come out and wear red, white and blue! The ticket office will open at 4:30 and the rodeo starts at 5pm. All active and retired military get free entry tonight.

Several food vendors will be open at the fairgrounds, including the Bishop Lions Club serving up those amazing corn dogs and yummy burgers.

Hope to see you at the rodeo!

Please, in each article, at least one time, spell-out the abbreviations. I assume the CHSRA has something to do with young people and rodeo.

Hi Tom. Thanks for the comment. This was sent to us by the Bishop Chamber of Commerce, and as a general policy we don’t make changes to newsletters and press releases sent out by other organizations. Therefore, we left it as it is. Sorry for any confusion that may have caused.
