Vehicle Carrying Three Crashes into Owens River Outside Bishop

April 12, 2025 — At around 3am on Saturday morning a vehicle was reported to have crashed into the Artesian Wells outside Bishop. First responders arrived at the scene and found the vehicle in the Owens River near the Artesians.

Three individuals were in the vehicle when it plunged into the frigid waters and were immediately transported to Northern Inyo Hospital by paramedics.

Another vehicle on site was damaged and the occupants were being questioned as we arrived on scene.

California Highway Patrol was able to briefly speak on the matter.

The investigation is still ongoing.
