EASTERN SIERRA PEOPLE’S MARCH

Saturday, January 18, 2025

Bishop City Park

Noon-3:00 PM

People from throughout Inyo and Mono counties will gather for the Eastern Sierra People’s March on January 18th in Bishop. Together, we will peacefully deliver a united message of caring, solidarity, kindness, and safety for every human being in our Eastern Sierra community.” We want to make it clear that the loud voices that are promoting division and hatred are not the voices of the majority,” says Karyle Tong. We march in order to show our community that we care, that we will stand up for all those who are afraid, all those who are bullied, all those who suffer at the words and actions of the few that are choosing to hate.

We invite the community to join us to demonstrate our collective strength and resolve to defend our freedoms and to promote liberty and justice for all. If you believe that decisions about your body should remain yours; that books belong in libraries, not on bonfires; that healthcare is a right, not a privilege for just the wealthy; if you believe in the power of free speech and action to sustain democracy; or if you want an economy that works for the people who power it—then this march is for you.

At noon we will gather at the front of Bishop City Park to create signs for the march. The rally begins at 1:00 PM, with the march to follow.

MARCHA DE LOS PUEBLOS DE LA SIERRA ORIENTAL

Sábado 18 de Enero de 2025

Bishop City Park

12:00 a 3:00 p. m.
