The Candle Cafe
As part of our ongoing series, we are interviewing people of interest in the area who are having a positive impact on our community.
This time, we reached out to Nav Randhawa of The Candle Cafe!
Can you tell me a little bit about The Candle Cafe? How did it start?
I have always loved making crafts of all kinds. The exciting journey started in 2021 in the kitchen where I made candles as party favors for my friend’s baby shower, and everybody admired them. Then I stepped into the world where imagination and skill combine to offer amazing party favors for birthdays, weddings, and baby showers. The idea of The Candle Café name comes from a future dream of having a café of my own which includes my love for coffee and own line of memorable and thoughtful gifts.
What makes your candles unique compared to others on the market?
In addition to regular jar and tin candles, I also create a variety of custom delicious-looking candles and intention candles infused with crystals, herbs with premium fragrance oils and 100% natural wax.
Can you describe your candle-making process?
First things first, select the candle jars and wicks of your choice and then you measure the wax and fragrance oil. Then in large container, melt the wax, mix the fragrance oil at required temperature. Then pour the wax into the selected jar, secure the wick, and let it cool off and enjoy later.
What types of materials do you use to create your candles?
I am focusing on candles made from eco-friendly plant-based blends, soy wax, beeswax, crystals, herbs, and aromatherapy scents. In addition, I have goat milk soaps and vegan soaps that are cold processed.
What scents are most popular among your customers?
Vanilla, Lavender, Bergamot and Pine scents are the most popular. During winters, pumpkin spice is a hot seller.
