Spotlight On: JT’s Dynamite Dogs

As part of our new series, we are interviewing people of interest in the area who are having a positive impact on our community.

This time, we reached out to John “JT” Burtt, the 12-year-old founder of JT’s Dynamite Dogs!

What inspired you to start Dynamite Dogs?

I want to earn my own money so I can buy things when I go out of town and for my football games.

How long have you been in business?

A few months, August 2023.

What are some of the items on the menu?

Hotdogs, chili dogs, Frito dogs, nachos, pulled pork sandwiches and coleslaw, sodas, water, and some chocolate candy bars.

Do you offer any specialty dogs or unique toppings?

B.L.A.T. bacon, lettuce, avocado, tomato hotdog, and chipotle sauce.

What kind of local events have you sold at?

Local farmers market in Big Pine, and tribal fall fandango.

What are some ideas you have for the future of your hotdog stand?

I would like to stick to local areas in Big Pine, and add some new tires to my cart, with some bright color lights. I want to find a good recipe and try a brisket hotdog.
