SnowSchool Volunteers Needed!
Want to Make a Difference in the Lives of Mono and Inyo County 5th Graders?
All Hands on Deck – And On the Snow!

With lots of snow on the mountains, it’s time for Eastern Sierra SnowSchool! Are you interested in helping to get our local 5th graders out for a fun-filled day of learning about winter ecology, animal adaptations and our local watershed while playing lots of fun snow games?
We are looking for volunteer group leaders for the 2025 SnowSchool season. No experience is needed; training and curriculum (designed by Winter Wildlands Alliance) is provided. All you need is a love of playing in the snow and sharing that with our local kids!
Dates for this year are:
- Feb 19 and 21 for Mammoth Kids (Held at Mammoth Lakes Welcome Center); and
- Feb 25-27 for Bishop Kids (Held at Cardinal Village in Aspendell).
The program runs from 9 a.m. till 1 p.m. each day. You can volunteer for one day or multiple days. Breakfast is provided for volunteers.
Interested in learning more or putting your name on the list as a potential volunteer group leader? Please email [email protected] for more details. Thank you for helping our local kids learn as they play in the snow!
(Eastern Sierra SnowSchool is offered by Sierra Forever in partnership with Winter Wildlands Alliance, Friends of the Inyo, and local School Districts.)
