Danielle M. Sexton, Inyo County Clerk-Recorder, Registrar of Voters, is providing notice that the candidate filing period for the following board member positions for the November 3, 2026, General Election have been extended through August 12, 2026, at 5:00pm for any candidate other than the current incumbents that did not file during the candidate filing period. (EC § 10516)
Candidate filing forms to file for these positions available at the Inyo County Elections Office in Independence, CA.
Any other local positions in this election that are not listed above, including Bishop City Council Members, do not have an extension period. A current list of all local candidates that have filed is available online: https://elections.inyocounty.us/voting/current-elections/
