unnamedgil

As we approach the end of the 2022-2023 school year, I wanted to share some exciting news about financial assistance opportunities for students who will be continuing on to higher education in the fall.

It is a great honor to announce two unique scholarship opportunities for Senate District 4 constituents who are current and prospective college students. These two scholarships are the Women in CA Leadership Foundation’s Minerva Scholarship and the California Latino Legislative Caucus Foundation Scholarship. If you are interested in applying or know someone that would be, please read the information below. These programs offer substantial financial assistance that would greatly benefit those aspiring to achieve higher education.

I look forward to hearing from all of the prospective applicants and wish you success in your future academic endeavors.

1.  CA Latino Caucus Foundation Scholarship

The California Latino Legislative Caucus Foundation Scholarship Program is currently accepting online applications. Each student awarded a scholarship shall receive $5,000. The deadline to submit an application is June 1, 2023.

Senator Marie Alvarado-Gil will have the opportunity to select one applicant from her district to receive the scholarship award to provide financial assistance to meet educational expenses.
